Bee venom is a skincare ingredient that has been gaining in popularity lately. While it may sound a little quirky at first, rest assured that this is one that has been backed by science. Numerous studies confirm that bee venom is a fantastic source of potent antioxidants, so much so that it can help to significantly reduce the appearance of aging and environmental damage.
While several brands have recently jumped onto the bee venom bandwagon, Venofye is one that has championed the ingredient from the start. In fact, every single Venofye product has been infused with bee venom, ensuring that each one is packed with antioxidant compounds.
Over the years, Venofye’s product range has expanded quite a bit. However, the brand’s Beehive Collection remains a classic. There are only two products in this collection but, with both promising to be a game-changer for skin that looks dry and dull, I decided to give both a try. Here’s what I thought…
How I Tested the Venofye Beehive Collection
When you’re going to test new skincare products, you need to do so fairly. There’s no point adding several new products to your routine in one go. This only means that you won’t know which products are responsible for the improvements that you see.
So, when introducing the Venofye Beehive Collection to my routine, I did so carefully. How? By swapping my regular moisturizer for the Beehive Silk Cream, both day and night. I then added the Beehive HydraLift Mask to my weekly skincare routine, making sure not to use any other face masks.
I did this for three months to ensure that I’d be able to see the full breadth of results provided by these products.
The Beehive Silk Cream
Many of the moisturizers designed for dry skin tend to be full of heavy plant oils and butters. There’s nothing wrong with this – dry skin often needs that! However, it was still very refreshing to see Venofye taking a different approach with the Beehive Silk Cream.
This moisturizer feels wonderfully silky and lightweight. It melts into the skin quickly, bringing with it a number of hydrating ingredients. Sodium hyaluronate, algae extract, soluble collagen, and peptides all function as humectants. This means that they’re able to bind moisture to the skin, providing instant hydration and a plumper feel to the skin.
In true Venofye fashion, this moisturizer is packed with antioxidants too. Vitamins A and E are both antioxidants while the likes of caffeine, green tea, bee venom, and chamomile all offer their own range. Licorice root extract is brimming with antioxidants too while also having the ability to lighten and even out the look of discoloration.
The Beehive HydraLift Mask
The Venofye Beehive HydraLift Mask is a leave-on mask. Admittedly, I haven’t used many of these before. I’m usually more of a sheet mask person but this no-rinse formula makes some big promises!
Once again, it’s filled with hydrating ingredients that will quickly make dry and rough skin feel softer. Sodium hyaluronate makes an appearance in this formula too. It’s joined by squalane, peptides, and aloe vera.
While the hydrating prowess of this mask shouldn’t be ignored, its main benefits come from the superfood extracts that have been used in this formula. Superfoods are known for having a superior antioxidant content. While eating them is great, applying them topically allows your skin to directly benefit from those powerful compounds. Some of the superfoods that you’ll find in this mask are:
- Acai berry
- Goji berry
- Noni fruit
- Chokeberry
- Mangosteen
- Pomegranate
Does the Venofye Beehive Collection Produce Real Results?
So, after using the Venofye Beehive Collection for three months, what does my skin have to say about these products?
First and foremost, my dryness has taken a big turn for the better. I was previously using quite heavy and rich skincare products but these two formulas have provided a breath of fresh air for my complexion. Thanks to the moisturizer, I no longer wake up with flaky patches of skin in the morning. My face also looks much smoother and dewier overall.
The mask intensifies this even further. I usually use it on a Friday evening and it gives my skin a radiant glow throughout the weekend.
I’ve also noticed that the fine lines that have been creeping up on my face are much less visible now. Experts agree that antioxidants are among the best ingredients for tackling the appearance of aging. So, it should come as no surprise that these antioxidant-rich Venofye formulas have made such a difference.
Last but not least, the tiny dark spots that were appearing around my eyes can no longer be seen either. These skincare products have managed to make my entire routine more effective, providing results that I’ve been struggling to achieve for years.
Give the Venofye Beehive Collection a Try for Yourself!
If you have dry or dehydrated skin, the Venofye Beehive Collection is definitely worth investing in. These two products are so convenient to use and can easily be incorporated into any skincare routine. Unlike so many of the other skincare products out there, these really do have the potential to improve your complexion in a number of ways. It’s no surprise that Venofye products have been making waves in the skincare industry and this is something that will undoubtedly continue.
