If you haven’t yet heard of Takkra, it’s a name that you’ll soon be seeing everywhere. This revolutionary new hair brand has taken the industry by storm with its cutting-edge styling tools and high-performance haircare brands, so much so that professionals all over the world have been clamoring to get their hands on some of these products.
While FOMO was a contributing factor in our decision to give Takkra’s haircare products a try, we were equally intrigued by these seemingly one-of-a-kind formulas, each one featuring Takkra’s signature blend of ingredients.
Spoiler alert: We loved these products. However, there were a few in particular that really stood out:
The Silk Strand Hair Treatment Oil
Ever tried pre-pooing? This is when you apply an oil treatment to your hair before you shampoo it. It reduces the stripping effect that many shampoos have, keeping your strands feeling strong and intact.
We’ve used a few in the past and have never really understood what all of the fuss is about…until we tried the Takkra Silk Strand Hair Treatment Oil. Perhaps it’s down to a specific ingredient (this one features the likes of squalane, rose hip oil, rose extract, avocado oil, and argan oil) or simply the clever combination of them, but once this oil is shampooed away, the hair is left feeling unbelievably soft.
The Nourishing Oil VitaCaps
While the haircare oil above is designed to be applied before shampooing, Takkra’s Nourishing Oil VitaCaps are best used after your hair has been washed and conditioned. They promise to leave strands looking stronger, shinier, and deeply moisturized, and they certainly do just that!
Each capsule contains a potent blend of plant oils and vitamins. Oils from macadamia, sunflower, marula, and avocado come together with vitamins A, B5, C, and E. It’s the perfect combo for anyone with damaged hair that needs some TLC. While many hair oils should only be applied to the ends of the hair, this one’s non-greasy texture means that it works well when applied to almost the entirety of the hair – just keep it away from your scalp, unless your scalp is severely dry.
The Pomegranate & Fig Nourishing Shampoo
It can be difficult to find the right shampoo for damaged hair. So many of the products out there contain harsh ingredients that only make matters worse. The Takkra Pomegranate & Fig Nourishing Shampoo, however, proved to be very different.
Free of sulfates, parabens, and many of the other harmful ingredients that are often found in shampoos, this formula promises to be gentle, yet it still provides a very effective wash. Fig and pomegranate make a tantalizing duo, both in terms of moisturizing properties and antioxidant content, as well as when it comes to fragrance! This shampoo smells absolutely divine, with that gorgeous scent lingering for a couple of days.
The ThermalShield Leave-in Conditioner
Two-in-one products are the future for both haircare and skincare. While some brands are still trying to figure things out, Takkra’s ThermalShield Leave-in Conditioner takes first prize when it comes to multi-functionality.
While some leave-in conditioners can be quite thick and greasy, this product’s spray bottle format ensures a light and even coverage. Its specialized blend of ingredients not only deeply conditions the hair but also serves as a heat protectant. It feels much more hydrating than other heat protectants we’ve used in the past, which is likely why heat styling now feels much more efficient!
The Heavenly Hair Mist
The Heavenly Hair Mist is another one of Takkra’s multi-purpose products. This one functions as both a hydrating mist and a decadent fragrance. The best part? It can be used on both the hair and the body.
This mist has been a godsend for us in this warmer weather we’ve been having. A quick spritz and everything immediately looks brighter and more radiant – both skin and hair! It gives both a touchably soft finish, too, thanks to its blend of rice water, avocado oil, and castor oil. It’s a great product to have around when you’re on the go – it’s super refreshing and so convenient to use.
