Every once in a while, a skincare brand releases a collection that takes the industry by storm. Whether due to revolutionary ingredient blends, cutting-edge application techniques, or anything else, these collections tend to stand out because they offer something very different from what’s already out there.
The latest collection to garner lots of hype? The Aqua Collection from VouPre. From beauty blogs to social media, people can’t seem to stop talking about this super-hydrating skincare set, which is why I decided to put it to the test to see if it actually lives up to all of the hype.
A Closer Look at the VouPre Aqua Collection
The VouPre Aqua Collection consists of four products: a face mask, a serum, a face cream, and a derma roller. Let’s take a closer look at each one:
The Aqua Melting Mask
The Aqua Melting Mask is a no-rinse face mask that’s designed to boost skin hydration levels. It does this with the use of several hydrating humectants – ingredients that have moisture-binding properties. Hyaluronic acid in the form of sodium hyaluronate is probably the most famous humectant in this formula, although squalane, collagen, and aloe vera are all revered for having the same hydrating effect on the skin.
What really sets this mask apart is its antioxidant content. You’re probably aware of how superfoods are known for being rich sources of antioxidants. This mask contains extracts from a variety of different superfoods, including pomegranate, acai berry, bilberry, and more.
Does It Work?
This mask is always fun to use. Apply it to your skin and, after ten minutes, it transforms into droplets that the skin readily absorbs. It’s super-convenient and easy to integrate into any skincare routine.
In terms of how well it works, this mask definitely impresses. My skin takes on a plumper and dewier finish soon after the mask has melted into my skin. The glow that the mask very evidently gives to my skin lasts for a few days, which is more than I can say about the other face masks I’ve used over the years.
The Aqua Hydration Serum
Again, the VouPre Aqua Hydration Serum is, as you can tell from its name, all about hydrating the skin. Just like the face mask, it makes use of humectants since these lightweight ingredients effectively hydrate the skin without weighing it down. Sodium hyaluronate makes an appearance again, this time joined by glycerin, lactic acid, and collagen. The inclusion of lactic acid is particularly appealing – this alpha-hydroxy acid is loved for how it brightens the look of the skin.
There are a few other noteworthy ingredients in this serum too. Vitamins A and E provide antioxidant power, while DMAE is revered for how it quickly smooths away the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Does It Work?
My skin is prone to dehydration, so I can always instantly tell whether or not a serum is truly hydrating. This one checks all of the boxes. As soon as it’s applied, it takes away that tight and uncomfortable feeling that indicates dehydration. It makes my skin feel touchably soft and supple, so much so that I now use it twice a day.
The Aqua Nano Cream
There are so many great moisturizers out there – any new cream that enters the market has a lot to compete with. The VouPre Aqua Nano Cream, however, manages to take center stage very easily. In true VouPre fashion, it’s filled with hydrating humectants, with this formula introducing ingredients that haven’t been included in the other two products. Between seaweed extract and oligopeptide-68, plus sodium hyaluronate for good measure, it covers hydration from all angles.
In addition to hydrating the skin, a good moisturizer should also seal that hydration in. This cream does exactly that with a blend of plant oils. Avocado, coconut, and sunflower seed come together to ensure long-lasting moisture.
Does It Work?
I’ll start by saying that this cream has become my new favorite moisturizer. Just like the serum, I use it twice a day, and it always does an excellent job of keeping my skin moisturized for hours.
The best part is how smooth it makes my skin look. Whenever I apply this cream, the fine lines around my mouth and eyes look significantly less noticeable. My skin takes on a more youthful finish that I absolutely love!
The 0.3mm Derma Roller
Derma rolling is a popular skincare technique that can help with a variety of visible skin concerns. The appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, roughness, and more can all be tackled by derma rolling.
The derma roller included in the VouPre Aqua Collection has 0.3mm needles. They’re shorter than the needles you’d find in a professional derma roller, but this is perfect for when you’re new to derma rolling.
Does It Work?
This is the first time that I’ve used a derma roller, and I was a little hesitant when my skin looked slightly red after my first couple of uses. However, I kept at it, and I’m so glad I did. My skin looks much firmer and brighter, and this is only after two months of use. The results are supposed to continue improving over the next few months, so I’m looking forward to seeing even more positive changes in my complexion.
The VouPre Aqua Collection: Is It Worth Buying?
Now that I’ve given the VouPre Aqua Collection a try, I can understand what all of the hype is about. These products do so much for skin hydration, while packing a number of other benefits too. If you’ve been looking for a way to give your skin an intense moisture boost, the VouPre Aqua Collection is well worth adding to your skincare routine.
