Healthy living starts right at your own home, with the kind of food you prepare having the most influence over how your body looks like. In my case, green juice has always complemented anything I eat and does not necessarily require me to go on a strict diet to help me cleanse my body from toxins. Different green juice recipes are proven to help in weight loss and boosting immunity, and can greatly increase your energy.
Here are a few combinations that you can start with at home:
Simply Green: 5 handfuls of spinach, 3 celery stalks, 3 kale leaves, half a cucumber, half a lemon, 2 fuji apples
Pineapple Kale Cucumber: 1 cucumber, 4 kale leaves, half a cup of pineapple, 1 green granny smith apple, 3 Swiss chard leaves
Pineapple Mint: 2 handfuls of spinach, 1 cup pineapple, 4 kale leaves, 1 small handful of mint leaves, 2 green granny smith apples
Green Detox: a bunch of cilantro, 2 green apples, 2 cucumbers, 1 lime
Green Glow: a handful of spinach, 10 to 15 sprigs of parsley, 6 kale leaves, 2 to 3 fuji apples, 1 cucumber, 1 lime, 2 ribs of celery, a half or a piece of ginger
Clean Green: 1 zucchini, an eight of a fennel bulb, 3 pears, 4 broccoli florets, a bunch of spinach
Pineapple Jalapeno: 2 cups of pineapple, 1 cucumber, 5 kale leaves, half a jalapeno (adjust depending on how spicy you want it)
Green Detox: half a head of romaine, 10 sprigs of cilantro, a handful of spinach, 2 apples, 2 kale leaves, half a lime
Green Citrus: an orange, 3 celery stalks, half a cucumber, half a lemon, 1 fuji apple
The Green Juice: 2 celery stalks, 3 Swiss chard leaves, half a cucumber, 2 kale leaves, an apple or two
Green Goddess: 6 chard leaves, half a cucumber, 1 to 2 cups of green grapes, 1 green apple, Ā½ of a one-inch piece of ginger
These are just a few of the green juice recipes that you can try at home. Each of these can make 16 to 20 ounces of juice, enough for anybody on the go.
