For quite a few years now, I’ve been hearing about the beauty benefits of gold. Celebrities, beauty bloggers, and even dermatologists have been talking about it, enough to make me curious about the potential benefits that this luxury ingredient could bring to my skin.
Rather than being tentative about it, I decided to go all out and treat myself to a few products from Orogold. 24K gold is the signature ingredient for this high-end skincare brand, with every single Orogold product containing it.
So, is gold worth using on your skin? And is Orogold the brand to be buying from? Here’s what I learned…
Gold: The Beautifying Ingredient You Never Knew You Needed
Ok, let’s talk about gold. I did some research into the ingredient before making my Orogold splurge and discovered some interesting things…
Firstly, gold has antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are vital for repairing the look of free radical damage, meaning the appearance of wrinkles, dark spots, and more.
Yes, it’s true that there are plenty of other antioxidants out there that you could use instead, but gold also works to deeply boost and brighten the complexion. It soothes the feeling of inflammation too, which has the knock-on effect of calming the look of acne breakouts.
It’s a pretty impressive multi-tasker, so much so that I was a little surprised I hadn’t delved into the ingredient sooner.
Wondering if gold actually produces those promised results? That’s a difficult one to ascertain, mainly because Orogold products, as well as those from other skincare brands, combine gold with other ingredients. The 24K Multi Vitamin Night Nourishment + Retinol
Out of all of the Orogold products I purchased, I had a few clear favorites, and the 24K Multi Vitamin Night Nourishment + Retinol was one of them. It’s a night cream that not only contains gold, but also boasts two types of vitamin A; retinol and retinyl palmitate. Vitamin A is revered for how it helps with the appearance of everything from wrinkles to dark spots. It has a lot in common with gold, making this the perfect pairing.
In the past, I’ve struggled with retinol causing sensitivities to my skin. I didn’t have those problems with this moisturizer. In my opinion, this is down to the plant oils and butters that Orogold has included. Between shea butter, jojoba oil, and sweet almond oil, it will keep your skin feeling soothed and conditioned while the more potent ingredients get to work.
And did they work? Well, I’ve now been using this cream for about two months, every single night. My skin certainly looks much smoother and brighter. My fine lines aren’t so noticeable and I always wake up with a soft and supple complexion. Definitely a keeper!
The 24K White Gold Age-Defying Wrinkle Solution
Now that I’m two months into my Orogold journey, I have to admit that I don’t use the 24K White Gold Age-Defying Wrinkle Solution quite as often. With all of the other Orogold products that I’ve been using, my skin looks better than ever and, as I mentioned above, my fine lines are now barely visible.
With that said, this cutting-edge product was a godsend when I first started using it. It’s a high-powered solution that looks/feels like a serum. Apply it directly to any creases on your face and, in a matter of seconds, they’ll look barely there!
I know, I know…it sounds too good to be true. However, dive into the product’s ingredient list and you’ll understand more about how it works so well. It boasts a cocktail of fast-acting ingredients, including acetyl hexapeptide-8, hyaluronic acid, DMAE, cucumber fruit extract, and, of course, gold. Each one works to plump, smooth, and tighten the look of the skin, with this product able to provide its full results in just two minutes.
The 24K Skin Balancing Mask Stick
I chose the 24K Skin Balancing Mask Stick for two reasons. Firstly, it’s a face mask in stick form, making it so easy to apply, especially if you’re multi-masking. Secondly, it contains some amazing ingredients, one of which is bakuchiol. As I mentioned earlier, my skin often reacts to retinol, but bakuchiol is touted as being a gentler and more natural alternative, so I was excited to give it a try.
The other unique ingredients in this mask helped to seal the deal. With oils from grape seed, black raspberry seed, papaya seed, argan, and jojoba, it’s decadently moisturizing. Cacao and mango seed butters back this up, resulting in a blend that leaves the skin positively glowing.
Again, just like the other Orogold products I went for, this one’s main purpose is to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. And, again, just like the other Orogold products I used, it did the job wonderfully. I can always see a difference in my skin immediately after using the mask, and I’m pretty sure that this product has greatly contributed to the crease-free complexion that I’m now enjoying!
Treat Your Skin to Gold!
Now that I’ve given gold-infused skincare a try, I’m a huge fan. Sure, some of the game-changing results that I’ve seen are, of course, down to the other exceptional ingredients that Orogold uses. However, I’m confident in the fact that the gold in these products has made a big difference too. After researching the brand, I’ve found that Orogold has always been a boundary-pusher when it comes to formulating skincare with gold, so this is definitely the brand to go with if you’re curious about experiencing the beauty benefits of this precious metal!
